ABOUT THE PROJECT

This initiative will create a tripartite partnership      arrangement between the Civil Society, the Legislature and the media in order to engage the Executive. It will bring about authority responsiveness and accountability.

 

The tripartite partnership arrangement  will facilitate the flow of information and feedback between the people and service providers.

 We shall research on services and gaps. We shall  sensitize the people with our findings. We shall train the Civil Society, Media and Legislature to develop the skills and capacity to engage to demand service delivery and accountability in a form of tripartite partnership arrangement.

 

Other activities will include political debate, town hall meetings and community score card.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

To empower Citizens and give capacity in order to demand greater authority responsiveness and accountability.

 

To empowering Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to demand good governance through increased transparency, a higher degree of qualitative participation and the capacity to exert greater accountability from service providers.

 

To create a Tripartite Partnership  between the Civil Society, the Legislature and the Media to in order to Engage the Executive.

Poor governance in the operation of public services is monitored and brought to the notice of the public and authorities through constructive engagement, media and public hearings

 

Number of formerly excluded beneficiaries helped to access services in a corruption free manner

 

Responsiveness of service delivery provider increased as evidenced by number of effective actions by service providers on issues identified through monitoring

 

Improved grievance handling (number of cases filed and satisfactorily resolved)

 

Number of actions by service agencies to improve their governance by implementing administrative, regulatory and policy reforms advocated for by citizen groups/CSOs
